This training is offered through the The Crisis Prevention Institute and will deliver nonviolent crisis intervention training designed to teach best practices for managing difficult situations and disruptive behaviors. Staff will learn how to identify at-risk individuals and use nonverbal and verbal techniques to defuse hostile or belligerent behavior. They will also learn how to control their fear and anxiety in a crisis and avoid injury when a crisis becomes physical. Please fill out the following form if interested. (If you are a K-4 teacher, you will be involved in the Wit & Wisdom PD on this day)
This professional development is a follow-up to the first professional development given in August and is intended to answer questions now that you have had a chance to implement the program.
